On Wednesday 22nd October 2014, Tablers visited the Holyhead Lifeboat station. During this visit they were lucky enough to be able to accompany Coxswain Brian Thomson and his crew on an eveing exercise in Holyhead Bay. During this exercise the crew taught some new younger members how to safely set of flares, and how shoed how good the flares were at illuminating the area during a search.

Once this training exercise was over the Coxswain took the boat around the Skerries lighthouse and back to Holyhead via Carmel Head.

Everyone was impressed with the boat and the professionalism of the crew.

Once back on dry land everyone went to Holyhead sailing clubs for a meal and a few drinks and a natter with the crew.

We should all be grateful to the men and woman that volunteer to man our lifebaots around the coast of Britain & Ireland.
